A couple of small moves were made within the Jazz organization on Friday, when two longtime staffers were promoted and two interns received full-time positions.

David Fredman, who started with the Jazz in New Orleans in the team's inaugural season, has been with the franchise for 35 years and was promoted to director of pro personnel; Richard Smith, the team's director of basketball operations, is now the executive director of basketball operations.

Bart Taylor, who interned with the San Antonio Spurs and Austin Toros when GM Dennis Lindsey was with that organization, was hired as a full-time coordinator of scouting. He spent the 2012-13 season as a basketball operations intern. Isaiah Wright, a strength and conditioning intern who traveled on road trips toward the end of last season, was hired as the assistant strength and conditioning coach. Before that, Wright, a University of Utah graduate, spent seven years as a team attendant.
