Utah Jazz CEO Greg Miller tweeted Wednesday morning that Executive Vice President Kevin O'Connor was not vacating the role, despite a television news report Tuesday night that the 65-year-old former general manager was shifting into a consulting position and leaving the state.

"Sources very close to the Utah Jazz (me) verify that Kevin O'Connor is not stepping down as EVP of Basketball Operations," Miller posted to his online account at about 9 a.m.

O'Connor himself denied the report to The Tribune saying, "Not true and I have no comment."

The report came from KUTV's 10 p.m. newscast, which cited multiple sources and said O'Connor was leaving Jazz management after 14 years.
