Randy Foye scored 26 points on 8-for-9 three-point shooting and Al Jefferson and Mo Williams added 20 to lead the Utah Jazz to a 116-107 win over Brooklyn on Saturday night at EnergySolutions Arena.

The Jazz and Nets were playing back-to-back, but both started quickly. Utah hit 11 of its first 13 shots. Brooklyn made nine of its first 12.

The Jazz took a 25-22 lead before finally stopping the Nets on seven straight possessions. They built a 31-24 advantage with 1:36 left but settled for a 33-28 advantage after the first quarter.

Utah maintained a 39-34 lead early in the second quarter after two baskets by Marvin Williams and a dunk by Derrick Favors.

At that point, however, Brooklyn’s second unit put together an 11-4 run that gave the Nets a 45-43 lead with 5:38 left in the half.

Brooklyn nearly took a 57-52 lead at halftime, but Deron Williams’ open three-point jumper rattled in-and-out and the Nets had to settle for a 54-52 lead.

Brook Lopez had 13 points for Brooklyn while Deron Williams finished the half with 11. Jefferson led Utah with 12 points.

In the third quarter, Foye made five three-point shots, including two during a 13-2 run that have the Jazz a 71-65 lead.

In the final 30 seconds, Utah converted its last two possessions and took an 83-74 lead into the fourth quarter, which it opened with a clinching 11-4 run.
