First Published Mar 08 2013 04:35 pm • Last Updated Mar 09 2013 12:38 am

Chicago • Marco Bellinelli made a 3-pointer with 5.9 seconds remaining and the Chicago Bulls dealt the Jazz a 89-88 defeat, their third in a row by three points or fewer. Gordon Hayward’s jump shot with 3 seconds left missed and Chicago’s Jimmy Butler grabbed the rebound as time expired.

The Jazz rallied from a 9-point halftime deficit to take an 88-86 lead with 51.6 seconds remaining on an Al Jefferson jump shot.

Jefferson led the Jazz with 23 points and 6 reboudns, while Derrick Favors (11 points and 10 rebounds) and Marvin Williams (14 and 10) contributed double-doubles off the bench.

The Jazz lost for the sixth time in seven games and are 0-3 on a road trip that has seen them lose first in overtime in Milwaukee, then in Cleveland when a layup rolled out in the final seconds.
