“When Sidney handles his business, he’ll be back and he’ll have to do a job. I don’t think that’s something that we talk about as a team. ... We just carry on with our job. That’s what we’re here to do.”
Lowe played at North Carolina State from 1979-83. He spent five seasons as the Wolfpack’s head coach from 2006-11. He joined Corbin’s staff prior to the 2011-12 season.
During Lowe’s coaching tenure at N.C. State, he had an 86-78 overall record, but just 25-55 in Atlantic Coast Conference play.
As a player, Lowe was one of the most beloved figures in program history. He played on the 1983 national championship team, which upset Houston in the final game and was coached by the late Jim Valvano.
