For the Jazz, however, the matchup against the Mavericks is just another stop in another city against another opponent.
On Friday and Saturday, Utah played back-to-back games at Phoenix and Denver.
On Tuesday, the Jazz hit the road for three games in four days at Charlotte, Atlanta and Detroit.
Before the taxing stretch finally lightens, Utah will end up playing six games in six cities in a nine-day stretch.
Worse news for the Jazz?
They looked weary and lacked energy in Saturday night’s 110-91 loss to the Nuggets, who shot 51.3 percent and scored 61 points in the second half.
It was Utah’s 21st road game of the season — second-most in the NBA.
"You know, you can say the back-to-back or the travel and all that, but that’s what this league is about," coach Tyrone Corbin said. "We knew what we were facing and you’ve got to be tougher. You’ve got to fight your way through it and we didn’t. ... It was not a very good effort."

Kanter update
Backup center Enes Kanter missed his second straight game against Denver because of a sprained ankle.
Kanter was not on the bench during the Nuggets’ victory. Instead, he was in the locker room, receiving treatment.
After the game, Kanter said, "I am feeling so much better. ... The swelling is going away."
The Jazz did not practice Sunday, and Kanter’s condition will be re-evaluated before the Jazz-Mavs game.
"I want to play," he said.
Cuban complains
Dallas owner Mark Cuban was unhappy with the officiating during his team’s 99-96 loss to New Orleans on Saturday night.
Thirty minutes after the game, Cuban tweeted, "I’m sorry, NBA fans. I’ve tried for 13 years to fix the officiating in this league and I have failed miserably. Any suggestions? I need help."
