This one was over early.
A Utah Jazz team lacking energy, passion and anything else needed to be successful at the NBA level, suffered a 94-83 defeat at the hands of Golden State on Wednesday night at EnergySolutions Arena.
In the process, the Jazz were beaten from start to finish, last holding a lead at 4-2 before Stephen Curry scored nine consecutive points to help the Warriors take control.
Utah tried to rally in the final minutes. By that point, though, it was too late to salvage one of the worst performances of the season.
While the Jazz fans booed throughout, Utah scored a season-low 37 first half points. The third quarter wasn’t much better as Golden State stretched its advantage to as much as 20 points.
Curry scored 23 points, grabbed eight rebounds and handed out seven assists. Al Jefferson scored 18 points and grabbed 10 rebounds for the Jazz, but Paul Millsap and Enes Kanter were the only other Utah players to reach double digits.
The Jazz fall to 15-15 on the season with the defeat.
