Denver forward Kenneth Faried led all scorers with 14 points, and added eight rebounds. The Jazz had no such performance. Each of the 10 who played socred for the Jazz, but Paul Millsap led the way with 6 points.
The Jazz (2-3) are trying to avoid going to 0-4 on the road, particularly in a game against a Northwest Division rival.
The Jazz shot 33.3 percent from the floor in the first half, missing their final 11 shots. Six of their 10 turnovers came in the final 8:25 of the quarter, which was the Jazz's worst stretch of the season.
