San Antonio • The last time the Utah Jazz played at AT&T Center, they fell by 31 points in the second game of the playoffs and the world, at least their world, almost entirely was reversed.
Scott Layden was on Utah’s bench, while Dennis Lindsey was in the Spurs’ front office. Mo Williams and Randy Foye still played for the Clippers, who awaited San Antonio in the second round of the playoffs.

Lindsey, Williams and Foye all now are with the Jazz, who play the Spurs at 6:30 p.m. Mountain. The game can be seen on ROOT Sports and heard on 1280 AM/97.5 FM.
It’s a tough draw for the Jazz, who are 1-1 following Friday night’s loss to the Hornets in New Orleans. San Antonio (2-0) is led by veteran forward Tim Duncan, who is averaging 22 points per game.
"They’re still intact with all their main guys," Jazz coach Tyrone Corbin said. "They’ve been that way for years now, and nothing surprises them."
The Jazz are led by 18.5 points per game from Mo Williams, while Foye averages 16.5 points coming off the bench. Both Paul Millsap and Al Jefferson average a triple double.
If the Jazz want to demonstrate that they are a team more like the one that beat Dallas in Wednesday’s season opener than the one that showed little grit against the Hornets, a win against San Antonio would be a gentle move forward in their quest to return to being a title contender.
"This is a team that just is going to be in our way the entire time," Corbin said. "So we’ve got to make sure that we understand how to beat them, how to compete against them and it’s every minute for 48 minutes to get that done."
