Utah Jazz: Jazz nip Clippers 99-91 in rematch

In his best game with the Jazz, Marvin Williams scored 18 points, recorded eight rebounds and four steals Saturday to lead Utah to a 99-91 win over the Los Angeles Clippers at EnergySolutions Arena.

The Jazz never trailed after tying the game at 21-21 and turned the game into a high-flying exhibition against the Clippers, who were without All-Star Blake Griffin.

Williams led six Jazz players in double figures, including each of the starters.

Mo Williams finished with 10 points and eight assists, while Gordon Hayward scored 13 points, Paul Millsap scored 12 and Al Jefferson added 10.

L.A.'s Matt Barnes led all scorers with 22 points.

The Jazz earned a modicum of revenge against the Clippers in the teams' second chippy game in four nights. The Clippers defeated the Jazz 96-94 on Wednesday in Los Angeles.

Jazz coach Tyrone Corbin said he was getting closer to tightening his rotation, and the time seemingly came Saturday. Ten players saw more than 15 minutes with the Jazz, but rookie Kevin Murphy, forward Jeremy Evans and camp invitees Darnell Jackson and Chris Quinn didn't see time until the final two minutes.

Veteran point guard Jamaal Tinsley did not dress for the game due to swelling from a wisdom tooth removed Thursday.
