Gordon Hayward and Derrick Favors of the Utah Jazz will play for the U.S. Select Team this summer, the Salt Lake Tribune's Michael C. Lewis reports from the Olympic Summit in Dallas.The U.S. Select Team will practice against the United States Olympic team that will compete in London. Hayward, 22, averaged 11.8 points, 3.5 rebounds and 3.1 assists during the just-completed NBA season. Favors, who turns 21 on June 15, averaged 8.8 points, 6.5 rebounds and one block.Other players reportedly invited to play for the U.S. Select Team by various media outlets around the country are DeMarcus Cousins, Jeremy Lin, Klay Thompson, Kyrie Irving, John Wall, DeMar DeRozan, Paul George, Kawhi Leonard, DeJuan Blair, Ryan Anderson and Taj Gibson.— Steve Luhm
