Some quotes from Tuesday's Jazz practice:— Paul Millsap on the need for the Jazz to be physical in Game 2: "We have to. We have to out-physical them. We have to be tougher. They're an older group. We're younger. We've got more legs, supposedly, to do that. So we have to use our physicality to our advantage."— Jamaal Tinsley on the Spurs' Tony Parker: "We've got to figure a way to stay in front of him. ... We have to limit him from getting paint touches. That's what he's so good at. We have to make him shoot jump shots."— Tyrone Corbin on Parker: "He's fast. He's determined. It's a difficult job for one guy. But we have to make sure we're bumping him ... and getting him off his straight line to the basket — trying to get him to go east-west instead of north-south."— Corbin on Parker: "He's a speed guy. He's seen it all. Guys have played him differently and talk about him not being able to shoot jump shots for years. And he's still able to get to the bank. So you have to give him different looks and make sure you are determined to keep him out of the paint."— Corbon on Parker's MVP-type season: "I think, this year, I don't know if he's more healthy or what. I saw an interview where [Gregg] Popovich challenged him after the lockout was over saying he played harder for the [French] national team than here. And he just took it upon himself to get faster. He's more aggressive going to the basket. He's more determined on the defensive end. You watch how they run through their offensive sets and he comes off screens to get the ball secondarily. I mean, it's full-speed, man, and it's full- speed going to the basket."— Corbin on what the Jazz learned in Game 1: "We knew they would be aggressive. ... It's a good club, man. I think what the guys are understanding now is the difference between the regular season and the playoffs and how you have to be more determined to have a chance to win."— Corbin on reasons to be optimistic going into Game 2: "We saw the film. We saw opportunities that were allowed to go by because we were a step slow or we were thinking too much or we just weren't ready. And I expect us to play a better game on Wednesday. ... I saw where we had opportunities that we didn't take advantage of."— Corbin on the experience his players gained from Game 1: "The reality is they are very good team. The intensity is right where we thought it would be. Right when you walk in the building, man, you feel the intensity is different than the regular season. ...They played hard. They are a good ball club. For the most part, we played hard. We didn't play smart in certain situations. But it's a growing experience for us and the guys responded well."— Corbin on Game 2: "I have all the confidence in the world we will play better on Wednesday. It's the first dance for this group, going through the playoffs. [San Antonio] has been through it several teams. They've been together for awhile. We weathered the storm pretty good [in Game 1]. We just didn't finish it off. ...I feel very good about us coming back and playing a better game. It's not going to be easy. We have to make sure we clean up the things we have to clean up and come in with the attitude that we are going to attack these guys."— Steve Luhm
