Jeremy Evans and DeMarre Carroll might be able to play Monday night, when the Utah Jazz put their playoff hopes on the line against Dallas at EnergySolutions Arena.Evans has missed the last two games with a sprained ankle. His availability will be a game-time decision, coach Tyrone Corbin said after the Jazz's morning shootaround.Carroll suffered a mild concussion in the second half of Utah's 103-98 loss at Memphis on Saturday night. Pending the outcome of one additional test on Monday afternoon, Carroll has been cleared to play and will likely start against the Mavs.If Carroll can't play, Corbin said he could start a lineup that includes Derrick Favors at power forward. Paul Millsap would slide to small forward in place of Carroll. Another option? Corbin could insert rookie Alec Burks in the starting lineup at shooting guard and swing Gordon Hayward to small forward. The Jazz have four other injured players who won't play: Josh Howard (knee), Raja Bell (knee), Earl Watson knee) and C.J. Miles (calf).Utah, which has lost two straight and seven of its last 11, takes a 31-30 record into the game against Dallas. The Jazz are ninth in the Western Conference. They are only three games behind the sixth-place Mavericks (34-27), although Dallas has already clinched the tie-breaker with Utah. The Jazz trail seventh-place Denver by 2.5 games and eighth-place Houston by 1.5 games in the race for the final two playoff berths. Realistically, the Jazz need to sweep their final five games to give themselves a good chance of reaching the postseason."One game at a time," Corbin said. "We can't think about [that]. Other teams have some tough games to play also. We just want to concentrate on this game. We'll try and take care of our business tonight. We'll think about the rest tomorrow." Said point guard Devin Harris: "We can't feel that way — don't want to add any extra pressure. We're playing really well at home. Let's kind of bounce off that."— Steve Luhm
