The Utah Jazz made more 3-point shots against Detroit on Monday night than they had in their previous three games.

They needed every one of them.

The Jazz went 7-for-11 from the 3-point line against the Pistons — all in the second half — and scored a 115-90 victory at EnergySolutons Arena.

The 3-point barrage was a relief for coach Tyrone Corbin, who watched Utah go 4-for-21 last week in games at Charlotte, Philadelphia and Chicago.

The Jazz entered this game shooting 29.9 percent on 3-pointers — worst in the NBA.

It was only the second time in 41 games they managed to shoot over 50 percent from the 3-point line.

"We want to use it when we can," Corbin said. "Our guys can shoot 3-pointers ... but we want to make sure we take the right ones. And we did a great job tonight."

C.J. Miles went 3-for-4 on 3-pointers against the Pistons, after going 1-for-6 in the previous four games.

Devin Harris was 2-for-3 against Detroit, after going 2-for-10 in the previous five games.

Center Al Jefferson?

As the shot clock expired with four seconds left in the game, he fired the ball at the basket and made the first 3-pointer of his career.

"We work on it every day," Harris said. "We have some good shooters on this team ... [and] we'll continue to shoot them, especially the way they have been doubling Al in the post. We're going to get some open looks, and it's important we knock them down."

The Jazz did not attempt a 3-point shot in the first half, which Corbin noticed.

"I was concerned," he said.

In the third quarter, however, Josh Howard and Harris made 3-pointers on consecutive possessions. Harris hit another one moments later to tie the game, 67-67.

Early in the fourth quarter, Miles buried back-to-back 3-pointers to give the Jazz an 85-82 lead. With 1:07 remaining, his final 3-pointer pushed their advantage to 98-89.

"Offensively ... we've got a lot guys that can give us a lot of different things," Harris said. "We have to continue to work all the angles and, if we get what we got tonight defensively, we'll be OK." —-
