The Jazz announced Tuesday they have officially signed forward Paul Carter.

Utah's training camp roster is at 16.

Carter is one of two players Utah General Manager Kevin O'Connor referenced Saturday when saying the team was adding two more players during camp, but first had to wait for their FIBA clearances before they could join the roster.

Carter has been living in Salt Lake City for about five days and watching Jazz practices. The Illinois-Chicago product worked out twice for Utah during the buildup toward the 2011 NBA Draft.

Carter:"It was just some stuff that FIBA had to get cleared and make sure everything was good with that. I wasn't able to practice or anything. I actually got to sit and watch [practice] which was pretty cool. Actually it was pretty cool seeing these guys get out. It's funny seeing them on TV play, but you really come to see them in person and it's like, 'Wow.' You don't know how athletic they really are and how hard they really go, so it's pretty cool. And it's a great group of guys actually. I haven't been around them that long but it's good camaraderie. Guys are laughing, joking — pretty much treat each other well. So it's pretty cool."
