Leon Rose, agent for free-agent rookie guard Ryan Thompson, said Wednesday his client has signed with the Utah Jazz.

Thompson tweeted Wednesday that he had inked a non-guaranteed contract with the team, which is still finalizing its roster before training camp starts Tuesday for the 2010-11 season.

"Just have to make sure I stay on the team for whole year," Thompson wrote.

The 6-foot-6, 220-pound Thompson averaged 17.2 points and 5.0 rebounds as a senior for Rider last season.

Thompson played four years for the Broncs, averaging at least 15.0 points, 5.0 rebounds, 2.8 assists and 33.9 minutes during his final three seasons.

However, he was not selected during the 2010 NBA Draft.

Thompson's brother, Ryan, is a third-year forward with Sacramento. —
