A group of juveniles discovered a dead body in a secluded part of a North Ogden park on Thursday.

The body of a woman in her 30s was found about 4 p.m. in Barker Park, according to North Ogden Detective Paul Rhoades. The juveniles were using a part of the park behind an amphitheater near a wooded area when they found the woman.

The woman's death does not appear to be suspicious and there were no obvious signs of what killed her, Rhoades said. Police are still investigating the woman's death and her body has been sent to the state medical examiner. Police do not consider the juveniles to be suspects.

Investigators do not know how long the woman's body had been in the park, though Rhoades said it appears to not have been there long.

Rhoades said police have had past dealings with the woman and officers were familiar with her. However he did not release her name or say if she had any criminal history.
