A motorcycle collided with a TRAX train near 7720 South on Monday afternoon, causing minor delays on the Utah Transit Authority blue line.
UTA officials say the motorcycle drove around the gate and ran into the train Monday afternoon. United Fire Authority said the victim was a 62-year-old man who was transported to the hospital in serious condition. Because of the accident, TRAX trains were running on a single track. UTA reported 10 minute delays on the blue line while officials continued to investigate the accident scene into Monday evening. The scene was finally cleared shortly after 9 p.m.
