Utah State University has tapped one of its development officers to run its Swaner Preserve and EcoCenter outside Park City.

Jon Paulding replaces Annette Herman Harder as the center's director next week.

"Jon has worked closely with Swaner since it became part of Utah State University in 2010 and has played a key role in bringing faculty research projects to the Swaner location," USU President Stan Albrecht said in a release.

The 1,200-acre land trust in Snyderville Basin and new 10,000-square-foot environmental-education facility comprise the largest gift to USU in the school's history.
