Several explosions and a subsequent fire at an industrial business in Jensen injured two people Wednesday and caused more than $2 million in damage.
The blaze started around 1 p.m. at Adler Hot Oil, 5035 S. 4625 East, Jensen Fire Chief Todd Wallis said. Multiple explosions were heard and the building was fully engulfed in flames when fire crews arrived from Jensen, Naples and Vernal.
One person was burned and taken to Uintah County's Ashley Regional Medical Center in critical condition before being flown to University Hospital burn unit in Salt Lake City. Another person was hospitalized for smoke inhalation.
The building and everything inside was destroyed, Wallis said. The blaze caused about $2.5 million in damage. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
