A Salt Lake City man was charged Thursday with having sex with boys, sexually exploiting minors and possessing and selling drugs to an undercover officer.

Kent Peter Frandsen, 54, who lives near 1900 South Wasatch Drive, was found Sept. 17 sitting nude at a computer watching pornography when Salt Lake City police served a search warrant on his home, charging documents state.

The warrant was served after Frandsen allegedly sold an undercover officer methamphetamine. During the raid, police found more methamphetamine, cocaine and needles, charging document state.

Police also spoke to two confidential informants who said Frandsen had pornographic photos on his cell phone showing him sodomizing young boys, charging documents state.

One informant told police he saw several boys having sex at Frandsen's home and photos on a computer of him having sex with young boys, charging documents state.

The other informant told police he saw Frandsen have sex with boys and that Frandsen gave them drugs to make them feel "out of it," charging documents state.

A third person told police that Frandsen preferred boys between 12 and 14, charging documents state.

After Frandsen was arrested, he told investigators he owned pornography that featured a 3-year-old and had tried to make arrangements to meet three young males at his home to have sex with him, charging documents state.

Frandsen is charged with three first-degree felony counts of sodomy on a child, 10 counts of second-degree felony sexual exploitation of a minor and several drug charges.
