A Salt Lake City support group for people with chronic fatigue syndrome and fibromyalgia is holding a conference for patients and health care providers Saturday.

The Organization for Fatigue & Fibromyalgia Education & Research (OFFER) says the conference will explain the signs and symptoms of fibromyalgia, which can often go undiagnosed, and how to manage the condition.

Besides causing chronic, widespread pain, fibromyalgia can cause tenderness, stiffness, achiness and fatigue, according to OFFER.

The conference will be held at the Marriott Hotel, 75 S. West Temple, from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.

It costs $30. The conference is sponsored by Pfizer, which markets a fibromyalgia drug.
