A 21-year-old ATV driver suffered life-threatening injuries in a crash Sunday night in Spanish Fork Canyon.
The driver was traveling with a passenger about 7 p.m. in Starvation Canyon when he lost control of his Polaris Razor and rolled, Utah County sheriff's deputies said. The Razor landed on the driver, deputies said.
The passenger and a passer-by got the vehicle off the driver, who was not breathing. EMTs performed CPR for about an hour before a helicopter reached the scene. When rescuers arrived, the man began to breathe again.
The driver was taken to a hospital in critical condition.
The passenger also was hospitalized; she is expected to survive.
