Cold nights are expected statewide this week, with temperatures dropping to the 40s and 50s in the valleys.
National Weather Service forecasts project lows of 48 in Salt Lake City and 43 in Nephi and Brigham City, 46 in Cedar City and 51 in Moab for tonight.
Temperatures may be extreme midweek, though, with highs in the upper 80s Wednesdays before storms hit the state Thursday and Friday.
Only St. George is exempt from the chill, with lows staying above 60 for most of the week and highs reaching into the mid-90s.
