Funeral services are Thursday for a 4-year-old girl who died after a swimming accident at West Valley City's Centennial Pool.

Emily Ann Searcy was pulled from the deep end of the pool by lifeguards July 29. CPR initially appeared to have restored her breathing by the time firefighters and a medical helicopter arrived, but she did not recover from her time underwater, estimated at several minutes.

She was pronounced dead Friday at Primary Children's Medical Center.

Her funeral is 10 a.m. at the Lakeridge 4th Ward of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (3151 S. 7700 West) in Magna.

Viewings are 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 S. Redwood Road, and 9-9:45 a.m. Thursday at the church. She will be buried at Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park.

Emily Ann is survived by her parents, Chiva and David Searcy; her sister, Aubrey Searcy; and a brother, Bailey Searcy.
