Tribune’s Utah Lit for August: ‘Utah Reflections’

First Published Jul 31 2014 11:40 pm • Last Updated Aug 07 2014 02:09 pm

For the slowed-down pace of lazy August days, the Tribune’s Utah Lit book club will talk about our home, thanks to the essays and poems collected in "Utah Reflections: Stories From the Wasatch Front."

The book includes pieces by local writers, such as the state’s poet laureate, Lance Larson, who writes about "Looking for Spiral Jetty," as well as a poem called "February 14" by Katharine Coles, and excerpts from books by Pam Houston and Terry Tempest Williams. A few of the other writers featured are Sylvia Torti, Lynn Kilpatrick, Stevan Allred and J. Scott Hale.
