Craft Lake City DIY Festival, the sixth annual edition, opened at the Gallivan Center Friday night and continues through from noon to 10 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 9. The free crafters’ festival features more than 200 vendors, and is expected to draw more than 30,000 attendees. The event also features food and entertainment, and spotlights the works of DIY engineers. The Craft Lake City nonprofit also holds monthly workshops, gallery shows and fundraisers to promote local crafters and local buying.
