• Wild West Shoot-out and Stage Coach Rides: Every hour on the hour during the Ogden Farmers Market and kickoff event for the Pioneer Days Festival a gang of rustlers and robbers are set to heist the loot from a stage coach in a real-action-right-down-to-the-gunsmoke-re-enactment on east two-bit street.

When: 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday

Where: Ogden Municipal Gardens, Washington Boulevard at Historic 25th Street

Admission: Free

• Pioneer Days Children’s Parade: This parade draws children from all over northern Utah.

When: 9 a.m. Saturday

Where: Washington Boulevard from 21st Street to 26th Street, Ogden

• Junior Posse Jamboree: Ogden Pioneer Stadium will be filled with young cowboys and cowgirls and horses of every size and color.

When: 5 p.m. Saturday

Where, Ogden Pioneer Stadium, 668 17th St., Ogden

Admission: $2

2nd Annual Sand Castle Building Contest • Put your sand-castle building skills to work. Prizes will be awarded to the top 5 castles in individual and team categories. More information, stateparks.utah.gov/park/yuba-state-park.

When: 1-4 p.m. Saturday

Where: Yuba State Park, Levan

Registration: $5 for individuals, $10 for teams
