WestFest » West Valley City celebrates its founding with a carnival, talent showcase, international cuisine and entertainment, a symphony concert and fireworks. Information, www.westfest.org.

5th Annual Bumblee Bash Children’s Festival » This day-long event is geared for kids with entertainment, face painting, youth musicians, Irish dancers, magic, bounce houses and more.

When: 11 a.m.-7 p.m. Saturday

Where: Discovery Gateway: The Children’s Museum of Utah,

Admission: $5 for Discovery Gateway members, $10 for non-members
