Lemonade stand helps kick cancer

The family of Christian Eric Hansen will once again host Mr. C’s Lemonade Stand to help raise awareness and funds for children with cancer. Those who make a donation will get a cup of lemonade. There will be cookies and other treats for sale. The event also includes music, appearances by sports mascots and princess characters as well as a free bounce house and carnival games for children.

40,000 wings at South Jordan fest

Beehive Sport and Social Club has purchased 40,000 chicken wings and rented 11 fryers for its third annual Salt Lake City WingFest. This year the event has moved to Jordan Park and will include live music, games and an artisan market.

Learn to order, sip wine like a pro

Register now for a summer wine class offered through the Wine Academy of Utah. In the Level 1 class, participants will get a basic wine education covering topics such as assessment, storage and food pairing. In the Executive Wine series, students learn how to navigate a restaurant wine list and how to taste wine like a professional. Wine educator and academy owner Jim Santangelo is the instructor for both courses.

Executive Wine Series » Tuesdays, June 18 and 25, 7 to 9 p.m.
