7th Annual Urban Iditarod » This Iditarod is just like the real one in Alaska except there are no dogs or sleds and is only about 4 miles long. Humans race through downtown Salt Lake City in this version, pulling shopping carts and making rest stops along the way at local pubs and clubs. Where: Starts at 400 South and West Temple

Admission: Participation is free of charge

K9 Challenge Sled Dog Race » If humans pulling shopping carts isn’t your thing, you can watch real dog teams race at this event. Bring your own chairs. More information, k9challenge.squarespace.com/.
