2014 Day of Remembrance » Each year the remembrance commemorates Feb. 19, 1942, when 110,000 persons of Japanese ancestry were ordered incarcerated by presidential order. This year features "Breaking the Silence," an oral play about internees’ experiences.

When: 11:30 a.m. exhibits and lunch ($12, pre-purchase required by going online to jacl-utah.org/saltlake/); 1 p.m. program "Breaking the Silence"

Where: Orson Spencer Hall, University of Utah

Admission: The program is free and open to the public.
