$5.50 • Hawaii Five-O

All the hot dogs at this tiny shop on Main Street in downtown Salt Lake City are made from high-quality American-style Wagyu (Kobe) beef from Snake River Farms in Idaho. This particular offering — a bacon-wrapped dog topped with pineapple salsa and drizzled with teriyaki and mayonnaise — stands out for its tantalizing mix of salt and sweet. Wash it down with one of the four fruity flavors of house-made lemonade ($2.50).

Red Hot • 165 S. Main, Salt Lake City; 801-532-2499. Open Monday-Friday, 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
