The Piano Guys
Show of the week » It’s been a busy year or so for The Piano Guys, the Utah-based foursome — pianist/songwriter Jon Schmidt, cellist/songwriter Steven Sharp Nelson, producer/songwriter Al Van Der Beek and producer/videographer Paul Anderson — that has taken YouTube by storm. The group signed to a major label, Sony, and put out three albums, the most recent a Christmas album, "A Family Christmas." The four men have made videos, in their unique instrumental style, in Berlin and on the Great Wall of China. And the group is gearing up for tour dates in 2014 across America and Europe. Saturday’s "Home for Christmas" show is the second of two shows on the group’s holiday tour; the first happened Tuesday in Boise.
