For the first time since Real Salt Lake won the MLS Cup four years ago, the team has a chance to win some major hardware — the Western Conference championship trophy. RSL leads Portland 4-2 after the first leg; if RSL wins, ties or loses by one goal, it wins. If the Claret & Cobalt lose by two goals, they go to OT. If they lose by three or more goals, that will be bad.
