Free national parks » Entry fees will be waived Saturday through Monday at all national parks and monuments managed by the National Park Service.

Ogden Outdoor Expo » The Ogden Outdoor Expo is open to the public, with more than 100 exhibitors showcasing everything outdoors in Northern Utah. The expo will include demonstrations, live entertainment and a food court showcasing local restaurants. In conjunction with the expo, Peery’s Egyptian Theater will feature the Telluride Mountain Film Festival on Saturday.

When: 8 a.m.-8 p.m. Friday, 10 a.m.-8 p.m. Saturday, 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Sunday

Where: Ogden Eccles Conference Center, 2415 Washington Blvd., Ogden.

Admission: Free for the expo, $9 for adults and $5 for kids (12 and under) for the Telluride Mountain Film Festival

24th Annual Navajo Rug Show and Sale » Experience Navajo culture by observing weaving demonstrations, singing, storytelling and other traditional activities; and help support Navajo elders by purchasing their hand-woven rugs and hand-crafted jewelry. Food and clothing collected during the show and all funds generated from the sale of rugs and jewelry go directly to the elders. More information, go to this website.

Downtown Farmers Market » A new winter farmers market opens Saturday at Rio Grande Depot, featuring more than 50 local vendors offering locally grown fresh produce, local meat, cheeses, dairy, baked goods, artisanal food, food trucks and more. It is scheduled to run every other Saturday through April 26.

When: 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturday

Where: Rio Grande Depot, 300 S. Rio Grande St.

The Bodacious Holiday Shopping Festival » More than 100 local crafters, artisans and entrepreneurs will showcase Utah products and gift ideas. More information, www.bigbodaciousevents.com.
