TV preview: Time to climb the ‘Treehouse’ with the Simpsons

It’s a bit early this year, but The Simpsons’ 23rd annual "Treehouse of Horror" episode is as wacky and wonderful as ever. Guillermo del Toro designed the opening segment, which is filled with movie monsters. Then Homer marauds through Springfield wreaking rhyming havoc; Bart’s severed head is implanted alongside Lisa’s on her body; and Mr. Burns’ horrifying circus comes to town. It’s great fun.
