Matisyahu • If you haven’t seen reggae-rapper Matisyahu for a while, you might be surprised by his clean-shaven face and wispy blond hair. It’s a shocking change from his former look as a yarmulke-wearing, bespectacled man with a long dark beard. Matisyahu posted a beardless picture of himself on Twitter in December 2011. "No more Chassidic reggae superstar," he wrote on his website. "Sorry folks, all you get is me … no alias."

When • Tonight at 6:30

Where • The Complex, 536 W. 100 South, Salt Lake City

Tickets • $35 at SmithsTix

Jewel • The 39-year-old singer-songwriter — who was born in Payson, Utah — released her first greatest-hits album earlier this year. "It was neat to see the development over the years," said the yodeling soprano in a recent interview with The Tribune. Lucy Wainwright Roche opens.
