Beer Festival • City Weekly's fourth annual Utah Beer Festival pours Saturday in Salt Lake City. Organizers promise 125 beers — more beers than prior years.

Oktoberfest • Yes, really. Summer has disintegrated enough that this weekend Snowbird Ski and Summer Resort kicks off its annual rite of lederhosen, polka and sausages. The event runs every weekend through Oct. 13.

When • Noon to 6 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 17 through Oct. 13

Where • Snowbird Ski and Summer Resort, Highway 210, Little Cottonwood Canyon in Salt Lake County

Lyle Lovett and His Large Band

The four-time Grammy-winning country artist performs. Lovett has recorded 13 albums and released 21 singles to date, including the No. 10 chart hit on the U.S. Billboard Hot Country Songs chart "Cowboy Man." "It's Not Big It's Large" was released in 2007, where it debuted at No. 2 on the Top Country Albums chart.

Movies • "Jobs." It's always kind of fun when a Sundance Film Festival movie hits wide distribution, huh? Unfortunately, the biopic "Jobs," about Apple icon Steve Jobs, isn't one that's going to make Robert Redford proud. Click here for a review.

If you're so inclined, you can watch a couple hours of Utahns on reality TV shows on Sunday night. First up, it's actually ex-Utahns — the polygamist Brown family celebrates Christmas in "Sister Wives."

Then Utahns George Wright and Scott Lomu have 48 hours to strike gold or their partner will terminate the contract on "Jungle Gold."

Local sports on TV • Real Salt Lake travels to Los Angeles to take on the Galaxy (Saturday, 8:30 p.m. Channel 4).
