Egyptian's YouTheatre presents sound advice with 'Dear Edwina Jr.'

Park City • The Egyptian Theatre's YouTheatre program teaches children and teenagers about theater and teamwork during workshops offered every spring, summer and fall.

When the spring program comes to an end this week, the 24 young actors involved will present the musical "Dear Edwina Jr."

"There are a lot of musicals out there for children to perform, but finding good scripts and stories is difficult for this age group," said program director Jamie Wilcox. She chose this particular production because she liked the characters and because it allows the children to "performing in an appropriate age range."

When • Friday, May 10, 7 p.m.; Saturday, May 11, 2 and 7 p.m.

Tickets • $14 for adults and $9 for children ages 17 and younger.
