Whole Foods Market is hosting a "Guac Off" that includes four chefs, 500 avocados and one "epic battle."
It takes place Friday, March 22, from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Viking Cooking School, 2233 S. 300 East, Salt Lake City.

Chefs from Caffe Niche, Chaia Cucina, Avenues Bistro and Hell’s Backbone Grill will compete, with proceeds benefit the Whole Planet Foundation, which helps to alleviate poverty.
Along with guac, there will also be tapas and beer. The event is sponsored by Uinta Brewing, Laurie’s Buffalo Gourmet and Frida Bistro.
Tickets are $15 in advance at all Whole Foods Market Salt Lake City locations; $20 at the door; cash only.
