Best bets for the 2013 Sundance Film Festival for Tuesday, Jan. 22:

"A River Changes Course"

3:45 p.m. • Broadway Centre Cinemas 3, Salt Lake City

Gorgeous cinematography punctuates this documentary from Cambodia, which follows the fortunes of peasants hit by deforestation, overfishing and industrialization.

"Very Good Girls"

6:15 p.m. • Eccles Theatre, Park City

Veteran screenwriter Naomi Foner ("Running on Empty") makes her directorial debut with this story of two girls (Dakota Fanning and Elizabeth Olsen) who make a pact to lose their virginity one hot summer.

8:30 p.m. • The MARC Theatre, Park City

Keri Russell stars in this offbeat comedy, about a Jane Austen fan visiting a Regency-era theme park, that is a hilarious screenplay collaboration of two Utahns: Director Jerusha Hess and novelist Shannon Hale.
