Water music
Guest conductor Nicholas McGegan will lead the Utah Symphony in a water-themed program, including Sibelius' "The Swan of Tuonela," Handel's "Water Music" and Britten's Four Sea Interludes from "Peter Grimes." The orchestra's concertmaster, Ralph Matson, will solo in Bach's Violin Concerto in A Minor.

Met at the movies
The Metropolitan Opera will broadcast "Les Troyens" live in HD in movie theaters nationwide. The company last performed Berlioz's vast epic in 2003. Deborah Voigt, Susan Graham, Marcello Giordani and Dwayne Croft lead this cast of characters from the Trojan War.
