Choral Academy registrationbegins

Registration begins this week for courses offered through the International Choral Academy. Students of all levels and interests can learn conducting, musicianship, group voice, and choral literature. Sponsored by Salt Lake Choral Artists.

When • Monday through Thursday, Dec. 31-Jan. 3, 9 a.m.

Where • Salt Lake Choral Artists Building, 700 N. 200 West, Salt Lake City

Tuition • $90-$200; saltlakechoralartists.org/ica.

'Salute to Youth' in American Fork

Young instrumentalists and vocalists who want to participate in the American Fork Symphony's "Salute to Youth" concert in April must submit their audition applications by Jan. 14. There are categories for elementary (11 and younger), juniors, (12-14) and seniors (15-18.) Contestants will receive an audition time by mail.

When • Auditions Jan. 26

Where • American Fork Junior High, 20 W. 1120 North, American Fork

Cost • $15 audition fee must be turned in with the application.
