Say goodbye to 2012 in style with a special New Years Eve dinner at one of these Utah restaurants. Make your reservations soon because Dec. 31 is one of the busiest dining evenings of the year. The prices listed below do not include tax, tip or beverages.

Bambara » 202 South Main St., Salt Lake City; 801-363-5454. Serving regular dinner menu with seasonal specials starting at 5:30 p.m. Prices vary.

Blue Boar Inn & Restaurant » 1235 Warm Springs Road, Midway; 435-654-1400. First seating at 5 p.m. is a five-course prix fixe meal for $75. The 8 p.m. seating starts with social hour followed by a seven-course prix fixe meal for $125. Includes party favors, dancing to live music and midnight toast. Wine pairings are available at each seating for an additional $50.

Cactus Red’s » 2250 S. 1200 West, (inside the Comfort Suites Ogden Hotel); 801-621-1560. Regular menu plus holiday specials including 10-ounce prime rib dinner for $14.95; or baby back rib dinner for $16.95. Open Monday-Saturday, 5 to 10 p.m.; Sundays noon to 9 p.m.

Caffe Niche » 779 E. 300 South, Salt Lake City; 801-433-3380. Offering a special four-course menu for $50 per person. Courses will feature local meats, produce and fresh seafood. One seating, with reservations accepted from 6 to 7 p.m. A new classic cocktail menu will be available in addition to a new wine and beer list.

Christopher’s Prime Steak House & Grill » 134 W. Pierpont Ave., Salt Lake City, 801-519-8515; and 1122 E. Draper Pkwy., Draper, 801-572-2639. Offering a beef tenderloin with 1/2 pound lobster and whipped potatoes for $39.99. Available Dec. 28-31 at both locations. Regular menu also available. Opens at 4:30 p.m.

Cucina Vanina Cafe » 1844 E. Fort Union Blvd., Cottonwood Heights; 801-938-9706. The 5:30 p.m. early seating includes a 5-course meal for $45, optional wine pairing is an additional $20, The 9:30 p.m. seating includes a six-course meal and optional wine pairings for $99.

Dojo Restaurant and Sushi Bar » 423 W. 300 South, Salt Lake City; 801-328-3333. Serving a four-course dinner for $25 includes soup or salad, choice of sushi roll, Dojo ribs or chicken katsu and dessert. Open for dinner beginning at 5:30 p.m.

Elevations Restaurant » 75 S. West Temple, inside the Salt Lake Marriott Downtown at City Creek; 801-537-6019. Holiday dinner available for $30 a person or $50 a couple. Includes soup, salad, filet mignon with salmon, sides and dessert. Available 5 to 11 p.m.

Escala Provisions Company » 3551 North Escala Court, inside the Hyatt Escala Lodge, Park City; 435-940-1234. A buffet dinner will be served 6 to midnight. Includes seafood, salads, roasted meats, fresh bread and desserts. Adults $109. A children’s buffet is available for those 12 and under $39. Live music.

Faustina » 454 E. 300 South, Salt Lake City; 801-746-4441. Four-course meal for $50 includes choice of appetizer, soup or salad, entree and dessert. Entree choices include tuna tartare, pancetta-wrapped rabbit, tuxedo scallops, herb-crusted beef tenderloin and roasted lamb rack. Wine pairings additional. Open from 4 p.m. to 11 p.m.

Finca » 1291 S. 1100 East, Salt Lake City; 801-487-0699. Multi-course menu for $45 per person, featuring Spain’s traditional 12 grapes tasting. Seating available from 5 to 10 p.m. Reservations accepted for parties of 6 or more. Regular menu also available.
