If your Christmas gift list includes some art — and you can't afford a Picasso or a Garfunkel (to quote Barenaked Ladies) — the December edition of the Salt Lake Gallery Stroll might have something up your alley.

The Gallery Stroll takes place Friday, Dec. 7, from 6 to 9 p.m., at participating galleries in and around downtown Salt Lake City. The event is free.

Most galleries are holding their annual holiday shows, which feature assortments of works from their regular artists — many of them offering more affordable smaller works.

Other highlights:

• Blonde Grizzly, 213 E. 300 South, is holding its second annual Nutcracker Show. The exhibit, curated by Vic Back, features actual nutcrackers created by local artists.

• Williams Fine Art, 200 E. South Temple, suite 100, observes Pearl Harbor Day with a show featuring vintage planes and ships by artists David Meikle, Ken Baxter and Stephanie Deer.
