Carl Fiessinger is the new executive chef at 350 Main Brasserie and the Spur Bar and Grill in Park City. Fiessinger, a native of Charleston, South Carolina, is a graduate of Johnson Wales Culinary Arts College. He previously worked at Panache, Boulevard and Zola in Salt Lake City.

Red Ribbon special at Bambara
Order the three-course Red Ribbon lunch special at Bambara next week and the downtown restaurant will donate $1 to the Utah AIDS Foundation. The lunch costs $13 and includes choice of soup or salad, one of three entrees including the house hamburger, smoked turkey wrap with bacon or the special of the day and warm chocolate chip cookie.

Surprise supper benefits hurricane victims
By Invitation Only an underground dinner event with a surprise location is offering a special dinner this month to benefit those affected by Hurricane Sandy. A portion of the dinner price, as well as all donations made that night, will be matched by the FFG Foundation and NuSkin Force for Good Campaign.

Let the frosting fly! Children ages 5 to 12 are encouraged to decorate their own gingerbread house and enter it into the fourth annual Gingerbread Jimmi House Competition. Winning entries will be awarded cash prizes.
