Clearfield ceremony
The Clearfield High School AFJROTC will hold its annual Veterans Day ceremony. Students will recognize Clearfield alumnus Rocky Olson, a Vietnam veteran who wrote about his combat experience in Sgt. Rock, Last Warrior Standing.

University of Utah commemoration

Col. Jay Hess, a former prisoner of war, will visit Knowlton Elementary to share his military experiences. The school will continue its recognition of veterans with a patriotic music program by first-graders at 2:30 p.m. on Nov. 8, and again at 9 a.m. on Nov. 9.

Spaghetti dinner
Magna VFW Post No. 7398 will hold a fund-raising Veterans Day spaghetti dinner. Dinners are $6 per plate, $3 for veterans. This event is open to adults age 21 and older. Proceeds will provide resources care-giving to Magna veterans.

Taylorsville City and United Veterans Council will host a parade that begins at Valley Regional Park and ends at city hall. The co-grand marshals will be Sgt. Maj. Patrick N.
