Salt Lake City starred in Wednesday night's episode of "American Idol," and seven locals - all women - impressed the judges and were sent on to the next round of the competition.

The two-hour episode featured highlights of the auditions that took place here back in October, with judges Harry Connick Jr., Jennifer Lopez and Keith Urban passing judgment on their talents.

The seven Utahns who made it through to the Hollywood round of the competition are:

Kylee Adamson, 18, Salem

Jocelyn Baker, 18, Salem

Kenzie Hall, 16, Draper

Tessa Norman, 17, Lindon

Emily Rottler, 17, Salt Lake City

Paisley Van Patten, 25, Salt Lake City

Austin Wolfe, 16, Park City

— We saw Wolfe at the top of the show. She sang Imagine Dragons' "Radioactive," and Jennifer Lopez said, "Austin, I feel like you have the whole package going on." All three judges voted to give her a ticket to Hollywood.

— Next up was Kylee Adamson of Salem, who told the judges she is a lumberjack and then sang "When You Say Nothing At All."

"As soon as you started singing - you had me immediately," Urban said. She also got three yes votes.

— "You're a star," Lopez said to Norman, who sang "Mama Knows Best" by Jessie J. All three judges said yes to her.

— Hall, the winner of Draper Idol, sang John Mayer's "I'm Gonna Find Another You," accompanying herself on the guitar. "You have everything going on," Lopez said. "And you played a diminished chord," Connick added.

She go three quick yes votes, and Lopez proclaimed her "one of my faves."

— Van Patten got a longer profile as we learned that she got a Nashville recording contract at the age of 15 and became an alcoholic. "I'm sober and I'm doing the deal and I'm still chasing my dream," she said.

She sang Faith Hill's "When the Lights Go Down."

"I love your voice," Urban said. "I love that you sang that song. I also love that you sang it very subdued."

Again - three yes votes from the judges. And then Van Patten did a pretty bad Cher impression.

— We got just a glimpse of Baker - a few bars of her singing John Mayer's "No Such Thing" and a few seconds of her celebrating her golden ticket with her family and/or friends.

— Rottler sang Amy Winehouse's "Valerie," and Urban said, "Your voice is great, baby."

Connick added, "When I was listening to you, I'm thinking - this is going to be a really good year on "American Idol.'" And three yes votes.

The final auditions episode of "American Idol" this season airs Thursday at 7 p.m. on Fox/Ch. 13. The Hollywood round of the competition - featuring more than 200 contestants - begins Wednesday, Feb. 5, at 7 p.m.
