I liked The Michael J. Fox Show (Thursday, 8 and 8:30 p.m., NBC/Ch. 5) a lot after seeing the pilot episode. I like it even more after watching two more episodes.As far as I'm concerned, that's a very good sign.Fox returns to TV playing himself, pretty much. He stars as a former New York TV news anchorman who retired when he was diagnosed with Parkinson's disease. But his old boss, Harris (Wendell Pierce), wants him to come back to work. And his family is all in favor of that because they're getting a little tired of having Mike hovering over them all the time.(The cast includes Betsy Brandt as Mike's wife, Annie; Connor Romero as his slacker son, Ian; Juliette Goglia as his teenage daughter, Eve; Jack Gore as his preteen son, Graham; and Katie Finneran as his loopy sister, Leigh.)Don't go into "The Michael J. Fox Show" expecting a yuck-a-minute comedy. It's low-key and amusing, with the occasional laugh-out-loud moment.This is a very likable show. One that I can see myself watching for a long time to come.
